Discovery Kids is an Latin American cable channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery Latin America. The channel opened on April 7, 1996. The channel used to be one of the best channels in Brazilian cable television and aired classics such as The Backyardigans, Mechanimals, Super Why and a lot more. However, in 2021, the channel went downhill by most of it's timeslots being taken by Peppa Pig.

- The main problem is that the channel is losing their charm and only consists of Peppa Pig dominating the channel and having bad shows such as Pinocchio and the Enchanted Village, 44 Cats, Madagascar: Something Wild, Open Season: Nature Calls, Petronix, Franjinha e Milena and some others.
- Nowadays, the channel is stagnating with shows, with the only shows they air nowadays being Peppa Pig, My Dog Pat, Agent Binky: Pets of the Universe, Earth to Luna, Mini Beat Power Rockers, The Dog & Pony Show, 100% Wolf: Legend Of The Moonstone, 44 Cats, Topo Gigio, Ba Da Bean, Ghostforce, Weird Waters, Underdogs United, Kung Fu Wa, Dog Loves Books, The Enchanted Village of Pinocchio, The Beachbuds, FriendZSpace, Pinocchio and Friends, Trotties: Magic World Adventures, Petronix, Super Wish, 50/50 Heroes, Builder Brothers' Dream Factory, Hello Kitty: Super Style, Madagascar: A Little Wild, Open Season: Call of Nature, Franjinha e Milena and Shasha & Milo.
- Certain shows like Hero Elementary and The Dog & Pony Show are put in graveyard slots, mostly at 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM, which makes it harder to watch those shows, especially if they aren't available in streaming services.
- The 2021 logo is a huge downgrade from the 2009 and the 2016 logos, looking less polished and great-looking than the older logos.
- With the lack of variety, downgrade of quality, and removal of some shows, it caused many older viewers to feel that Discovery Kids had lost its touch.
- One of the main problems of the channel nowadays is: Peppa Pig. It "oinks" the entire timeslots and makes the channel have little variety. As previously said in and there was even a 1-month 24 hours marathon of the show which airs every year due to its 8 years on the network!
- The channel keeps repeating the same promos of shows, which are the promos for Hello Kitty: Super Style, Madagascar: Something Wild, Open Season: Call of Nature and Shasha and Milo, with the Hello Kitty: Super Style promo being the worst offender, with Hello Kitty's line, "Nós somos uma otima duplaaaa!/¡La verdad es que somos un gran duo!" getting on your nerves extremely fast.
- The channel is getting very boring nowadays, and it doesn't help that most of the programming consists of Peppa Pig and some others.
- It doesn't care about it's older programming. Fishtronaut, Doki, The Backyardigans and many other great shows it aired in the past were completely forgotten. The only shows from the 2000's and 2013-2016 eras that are Earth to Luna (which is still up and running), and reruns of the modern seasons of Curious George. They could at least do reruns of those shows, or to an extent, make a marathon of their older programming.
- The situation is getting so bad to the point Discovery Kids is losing it's fame, longtime fans and viewers, and is getting it's reputation tarnished because of a limited programming because of Peppa Pig amongst other reasons, and this shows that Discovery Kids won't be able to recover from their downfall if they don't stop broadcasting Peppa Pig, solve those problems and to an extent, give more space to other shows or even return to their original programming.

- They still air great and amazing shows such as Pat the Dog, Agent Binky: Pets of the Universe, Earth to Luna, Mini Beat Power Rockers, The Dog & Pony Show, Topo Gigio, Ba Da Bean, Ghostforce, Underdogs United, Kung Fu Wa, Dog Loves Books, Ts Beachbuds, FriendZSpace, Pinocchio and Friends, Trotties: Magic World Adventures, Super Wish, Builder Brothers' Dream Factory, Hello Kitty: Super Style, Shasha & Milo and Lupi & Baduki.
