This butchered port of a great racing game has come in last place.

Lego Racers is a game developed by High Voltage Software and published by Lego Media in August 1999 for the PC, with a Nintendo 64 version releasing in October of that year and the PlayStation in December 1999, and a Game Boy Color port in late 2000. This page will cover the Game Boy Color version developed by the Climax Group.
Why It Sucks
- Limited customization options in Build mode. To make matters worse, there are no unlockable characters or car sets.
- The game is played in an over-the-shoulder view similar to OutRun and Rad Racer, when an isometric view would've been a better choice.
- Your car takes forever to build up speed, and when it's going really fast, it's impossible to tell if an item is gonna appear or not, and even then, grabbing items is completely luck-based.
- Incredibly overpowered items. The turbo boost can send you far ahead of everyone, and it's impossible to tell when a cannonball hits you. If the cannonball does hit you, your car stops to a halt.
- Frustratingly hard difficulty, which is unacceptable for a kids game.
- Each circuit has 3 races instead of 4 like the other versions, and some tracks are shuffled around: for example, Dark Forest Dash comes after Desert Adventure Dragway in this version, when it was the opposite in other versions.
- Three of the tracks are missing from the Game Boy Color version, including the Rocket Racer Run. The race against Rocket Racer in this version is set in Alien Rally Asteroids.
- Repetitive music.
