Ryan Challenged Dr. Ion for a Game ON Adventure is a video/advertisment for the Ryan's World YouTube channel.

Why It's Game Over

  1. In most "advertisment" videos like these, there's a disclaimer stating the video is intended to promoting a product (usually from the Ryan's World brand itself), however this disclaimer does not appear until 32 seconds into the video, which may catch the viewer off-guard, and is quite a scummy move.
  2. After the disclaimer, it shows Combo Panda playing a video in which he spent hours on, to get a "Combo Panda Egg". However he loses, but instead of accepting the loss and moving on, he whines about it, then throws his controller at the TV, the game calls him a loser, and then the broken unrealistically sucks him in. Making a character unlikable may be a good thing if it's executed properly, but Combo has to at least realise how competent he is at gaming.
    • He doesn't even get to learn about controlling his anger, thus maybe making this video one example of Combo being a karma houdini.
  3. Alpha Lexa and Gil make an appearance in the video, but are quite one-dimensional and don't have anything to do with the plot.
  4. The editing and writing is quite generic and laughable.
    • In one-shot, Combo Panda is shown to be around 4-and-a-half feet tall, based on him standing next to Dr. Ion. Combo being that tall is wrong since he's only supposed to be around a meter tall.
  5. Plotholes: There are a few of them.
    • Why does Combo have his own trophy in the game he's playing?
    • How can a controller break a TV in half, and how can the broken TV absorb you in like a portal and still work?
  6. The next half of the video is nothing but filler, as it's just Dr. Ion opening the Combo Panda Egg he and Combo earned in the video game, although kids may find this entertaining to watch.
  7. False advertising/Misleading title: Despite the title being called "Ryan Challenged Dr. Ion for a Game ON adventure!", Ryan doesn't physically appear in the video, and it was Combo who started the conflict and climax of the plot, which just makes it clickbait.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Alpha Lexa, Gil and Dr. Ion are all tolerable characters in the video.
  2. While there are no morals to learn here, it at least teaches kids a few things about gaming, although these facts can be seen as brief filler.
  3. Combo getting sucked into the TV might be seen as him getting his comeuppance for what he did, even if it's a bit harsh.
