Definitely not the way to do an educational Spider-Man game.

Spider-Man & Friends: Secret Missions is a 2004 platformer released for the V. Smile; it is also an educational game.

Why It Failed the So-Called "Secret Missions"

Much like other V. Smile games, the graphics are really subpar since the color palette is very washed out, the sprites are undetailed and look worse than the SNES Spider-Man games, and the backgrounds are also terrible.
Poor controls that are clunky and unresponsive; it doesn't help that they are also sluggish since a jump is half a second and the movements are also horribly sluggish.
The game is way too easy; even the educational parts are easy to figure out, although once again, this is to be expected from a V. Smile game since it is completely aimed at children.
The framerate is absolutely awful since it is horribly sluggish to the point that it feels like the game was very poorly programmed and also makes the game feel like it wasn't polished enough before being released, making the gameplay and controls even worse than they already are.
Boring gameplay that is repetitive and is way too simplistic.
The game is way too short since you can beat it in only 30 minutes, and there is no replay value either, which doesn't help this problem.
Terrible soundtrack since the music sounds repetitive and it doesn't even have the Spider-Man theme song, the music also has an annoying tone.
Pretty poor level design that is repetitive and also had the level to be too linear, and here it simply isn't a good thing.

The game's Spanish localization was announced on July 11, 2006.
Some sprites like the select arrow and various icons on some menus are the same as ones used in Alphabet Park Adventure.
