Who knew that an awful show would give a movie that can sing 🎵No longer the sidekick no that's not me! Picture my BOOTY up in 3D! I'll shake my BOOTY in my own movie!🎵 and it's actually funny for once. Well, it used to be, until the sequels came out, making us realize that we've been ripped off this whole time.

The events of the film take place during the fifth season of Teen Titans Go!. Plot
It seems that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies —- all but the Teen Titans. Robin is bound and determined to remedy that situation by becoming a star instead of a sidekick. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their hearts, the Teen Titans head to Hollywood to fulfill their dreams. Things soon go awry, however, when a supervillain plans to take over the planet —- putting the very fate of the young heroes on the line.
Why It Should NEVER GO! Away
- Uses its content from the show very well.
- Very cool and fitting plot for a show like Teen Titans Go!, where the fact that this iteration of the Titans are terrible heroes is the whole driving force of the movie.
- The Teen Titans from the show are a lot more likable in this movie, especially Robin as he is very sympathetic because of how he is tired of being treated badly because of his role as a sidekick and is considered a joke because of the past silly things he and the Titans have done, and he doesn't act like a mean-spirited and an unlikable tyrant towards his team. And the other Titans are likable too because of how they comfort Robin when he is feeling down from being considered not a hero by the other DC heroes.
- Slade finally appears in the series, despite his personality changed from a ruthless criminal into a dimwitted supervillain.
- Amazingly bright and colorful animation that is an improvement to the show's animation, as well as mixing several styles to fit the mood of the scene.
- Awesome voice acting thanks the original voice actors from the show reprising their roles and new comers like Will Arnett, Kristen Bell, Patton Oswalt, Nicolas Cage, etc.
- Some of the superheroes that don't get a line in the series get a good line in here, including Stan Lee of all people.
- The film can be really funny at times, particularly through the numerous fourth-wall breaks and references to other DC and even Marvel works.
- It has a good message of never giving up, and never let yourself be put down by the bad and hurtful things people say about you, and what really matters is what you think of yourself.
- Awesome action, specifically the final battle.
- Tons of good references, like the Green Lantern movie being an unmentionable subject.
- Tons of heartwarming moments, like when the other Titans tell Robin that he may not be a huge famous superhero, but he is a really good superhero to them.
- The mid-credits scene where the Teen Titans from the original series say 'they may have found a way back' was a good way to foreshadow Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans, which was promising.
- There's a particularly great in-joke where Nicolas Cage voices Superman, as he was originally going to portray the character in the cancelled Tim Burton movie Superman Lives.
- This movie might have improved the terrible show, as it started to become decent. Well, up until Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans, which took a massive downgrade on what made this movie enjoyable in the first place.
- Overall, this could have been a great end to the series if it didn't continue past that.
Bad Qualities That Should GO! Away!
- Like the series and another animated movie based on a TV series that came out five years before this movie, it has some gross-out humor, like the pooping in a prop toilet scene.
- Speaking of which, there is also one scene involving baby Superman twerking as an attempt to be "hip" and "with it" while making this minor child sexualization offense.
- The featured song, the Teen Titans rap, is a horrible song.
- The film has aged poorly due to the three direct-to-video films that came after it, and many people realizing "Did we really need a Teen Titans Go! movie? No."
Reception
Teen Titans Go! To the Movies received critical praise for its stylized animation quality, cast, humor, and storyline. Reception to the film from audiences was mixed-to-positive, with people who dislike the show considering the film to be an improvement. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a "Certified fresh" rating of 91% based on 132 based reviews, with an average rating of 7.25/10. The site's critical consensus reads, "Teen Titans Go! To the Movies distills the enduring appeal of its colorful characters into a charmingly light-hearted adventure whose wacky humor fuels its infectious fun - and belies a surprising level of intelligence.".
