May god bless Daniella's soul...

On December 28, 1992, Brazilian actress Daniella Perez was murdered by actor Guilherme de Pádua and his wife at the time, Paula Thomaz (now Paula Peixoto), by a dagger, and was pierced with 18 strokes on the neck, lung and heart of the actress. It was reported in the day after the murder in December 29 in the same day as the resignation of ex-president Fernando Collor de Mello. The news shocked everyone in Brazil, because she and Guilherme de Pádua acted in the soap opera De Corpo e Alma, but Guilherme ended up murdering her, because he thought that his character Bira was diminishing due to Daniella's influence in the soap opera. Guilherme de Pádua and his wife were arrested on December 31, 1992, but were released in 1999 for good behavior. The departure of her character in the soap opera was explained with a study trip abroad and the character of Guilherme de Pádua ceased to exist. Due to the brutal murder of Daniella Perez, the soap opera De Corpo e Alma was never rerun in Vale a Pena Ver de Novo or Canal Viva.
