VidLii is a video sharing website that is created by Jan in December 2015 as an alternative to YouTube.

The site is based off YouTube's earlier years.
It used to be good during it's early years until 2022 where it went downhill.
Why You Can't Display Yourself Anymore
- The moderation is now nonexistent nowadays, as criminals and murderers now upload their crimes and NSFW content on there without any punishment.
- Due to said moderation, there is a lot of nazism, racist, and illegal content on the site.
- Zero-age restriction unlike YouTube, meaning people will be shown shock content on the front page. Although the feature would eventually be added on September 26, 2024. Despite this, people can easily bypass this.
- Despite the age restriction, some NSFW content can still be seen on the channels list as they can set it as their user profile image.
- There isn’t even a way to hide the content as well, even if the age restriction feature exists, people can bypass it easily by setting the NSFW content as their profile picture or channel banner.
- Overall, the site is no longer a normal old school YouTube revival like it used to be before.
Redeeming Qualities
- It used to be good during its earlier years as the moderation was actually doing their job.
- As it's based off old YouTube, some features from old YouTube such as the old channel banners (The full page banners) are back.
