ミラキュラス レディバグ & シャノワール is the Japanese dub of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
Why This Dub is Miraculous
- First, the animation is still decent, fluid and nicely well done.
- What's more is it was produced by Toei Animation, that's the reason why the animation is really good.
- The voice acting is far better than the English dub, and to add icing to the cake it even features some anime voice actors which makes it even better. People might like this dub more than the English dub.
- This dub is actually pretty faithful to the original French version and the English dub, which really shows how well the show was doing in Japan, it helps that one of the voice actresses from this dub voices Claire François from "I'm in Love with the Villainess" which makes this even better!
- The humor is still well-executed and can be pretty funny to some
- It also helps that not only this dub is pretty well-done, they also did a good job writing this dub and making it faithful to the original series, and like the second reason the voice acting is pretty great and decent.
- The theme song is also decent and still catchy to listen, especially the intro from the 4th season, it's still pretty good to listen to and still had potential in quality. The 5th season is even better because that's when the show started to get serialized (despite the 5th season being a disappointment, some fans might like the 5th season better than the last few!)
- Overall, this dub is pretty well done and this is one of the best dubs in the show (except for Korean, which was bland and stale, the voice acting is still good however)
Bad Qualities
- The voice acting is somewhat annoying to some people who are unfamiliar with the series/manga (comics)
- Chloe's voice acting is still slightly jarring to listen to, while slightly better, that doesn't cut it. Her voice acting does a good job though.
- Just like the original shows, for Season 3-present is very lackluster in terms of animation due to terrible animation.
Trivia
- Despite Japan being one of the main countries involved in the production of the series, a dub of the series was never produced when the show was initially distributed internationally. After almost three years however, the first season premiered on Disney Channel on July 23, 2018, concluding on January 27, 2019. Subsequent seasons soon followed suit, with episodes premiering significantly later compared to other international Disney Channels.
