2001 Alien Combat is a freeware fighting game developed and published in 2000 by Cursoft@. It was also the only game made by these developers.
Gameplay
The gameplay is very similar to Mortal Kombat, the player's goal is to defeat the enemy with physical strength and additional powers, but here you throw knives.
Why It Should Get Abducted By Aliens
- The menu is lazy, just three buttons that can be clicked to decide whether a player will play the game, trigger help or quit the game.
- The controls are even worse than in Rise of the Robots and Shaq Fu, as the character moves are extremely slowly and deals very weak blows.
- Character animations are very stiff, our alien moves as if he was about to defecate the entire contents of his intestines, and kicking is just lifting your leg up. What about some animations are a few or even 2 animation frames.
- The game is also full of various errors, the most noticeable error is that the character falls after losing a fight and then magically gets up, then starts to move and in a minute he returns to his place and so on over and over again.
- The game also has graphic errors, so the models of the fighting characters very often partially disappear.
- The player can use up to four knives, after which he has nothing else to do but fight physically. The knives themselves also do little damage.
- After losing the round, the actor's bland voice repeats the sentence "You Lose!" 5 times. which, in particular, can lead the player to white fever.
- This game cannot even end. even if you tried hard to defeat the opponent, the opponent would defeat you without any problems due to the terrible control and bugs.
- The background of the game is poorly and cheaply made, it's just an arena connected by stairs to heaven and nothing else.
- The music in the game is just two songs which are average and not very memorable, they are fast midi based melodies and nothing else.
- The graphics in the game are extremely cruel, even by the standards of a free game from 2000. Alien models are poorly rendered and very blurry, which can cause gagging, and the background is just copy-and-paste.
- The AI of the opponent is extremely stupid and makes the opponents of Rise of the Robots and Shaq Fu appear to be Karate Masters. The enemy stands still almost all the time and kicks the protagonist with all sorts of kicks they get.
- The face on the menu resembles a human rather than an alien, which gives the impression that we are going to fight with a human, but we are fighting with a human.
- False advertising: official screenshots show that the battles will be fought on other planets, when in fact even the first skirmish cannot be won.
- The gameplay is a rip-off of Mortal Kombat and most likely: Rise of the Robots. Enough said.
