A24 is an American independent entertainment company founded on August 20, 2012, by Daniel Katz, David Fenkel, and John Hodges and based in New York City. It specializes in film distribution, and film and television production.

Why They Rock

  1. They have produced and distributed some of the greatest media, such as Everything Everywhere All at Once, HereditaryEx MachinaCivil War, MidsommarThe Disaster Artist, RoomLady Bird, the X film series, The Lighthouse, Hazbin Hotel, Talk to Me, The Whale, Uncut Gems, etc.
  2. One of the greatest indie entertainment companies in a long time.
  3. The films they distributed have managed to surpass Hollywood films in terms of quality and critical reception.
  4. The horror films they've distributed and/or produced have real horror instead of cheap jump scares.
  5. Many of their films have original, well-crafted storylines, such as Swiss Army Man, A Ghost Story, The Witch, etc.
  6. Some of the films they've distributed have garnered Oscar nominations and wins, such as Moonlight, Lady Bird, Room, Amy, etc.
  7. Their trailers are also known to be very misleading, making the viewer think that something's going to happen in the movie when it's not.
  8. Their films rarely have sequels, making them sort of like the film distributor version of Black Mirror.
  9. They partnered with Lionsgate to help release their films on physical media.

Bad Qualities

  1. They have distributed some bad films such as The Sea Of TreesA Glimpse Inside The Mind of Charles Swan III, etc.
  2. Some of the films they distributed and/or produced are notorious for their sharp Critical Dissonance, with strong reception among critics and film communities against mixed reception among general audiences, even though it is not that bad.
