A Fadinha do Brasil (literally "The Little Fairy of Brazil", also known as Fadinha do Brasil in the title) was a short-lived children's program that aired on RedeTV! at rented time on Sundays in September 2013, hosted by Suelem Aline Mendes Silva, formerly Mulher Pêra. It lasted four programs (only two aired in television) due to negative reception and low ratings.
Why It Sucks
- The program was made on a very low budget, which makes the program have a very poor production quality, given that the program was an independent program of rented time.
- The quality of A Fadinha do Brasil is very poor, as the overall estates of this show looks very choppy and cheap due to the very muggy and poor shady camera work, with an odd choice of the background as well as very poor and bleak lighting throughout the show. This makes A Fadinha do Brasil feel extremely dated due to these statements, and makes this show feel more like it was made in the mid-1960s or early 1990s, but this show came out in 2013, and previous live-action shows look MILES better then A Fadinha do Brasil.
- Due to the program's low budget, the program suffers from problems, with the main problem being the set looking cheap, since it's just a chroma key.
- Poor musical numbers.
- Some of the characters costumes look like slight rip-offs, for example, Fadinha do Brasil's (as in the main title protagonist) and some of the other fairy characters' costumes almost looks like a rip-off of Tinker Bell from the Peter Pan series and Robotron's costume is a clear rip-off of Robocop from the Robocop franchise.
- The opening is literally bad since also the program's logo is very generic and it says Fadinha do Brasil instead of A Fadinha do Brasil.
- During the first segment that involves Robotron, there's a sequences were Robotron shows the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season were it flooded a city, which not only feels very out-of-place in a show that was meant to be a children's program and feels more like something out of a nature documentary show, but is also quite dark and could also scare kids.
- The way that the characters are in the background is utterly laughable, to the adults being able to walk in the side of mushrooms, to even some of the kids sitting in the middle and/or in front above mushrooms.
- The Fadinha do Brasil's costume is too skimpy for a children's program like this one and the Robotron's costume is poorly cheap.
The Only Redeeming Quality
- Despite being rip-offs, some of the costumes can be creative.
Reception
A Fadinha do Brasil received a largely negative reception, with the main criticism towards the program having a very low budget. Due to the negative reception the program received, was taken off the air by RedeTV! after the airing of the second and last aired program. Even Suelem herself admitted that the program wasn't good.[1]
The program was also a ratings flop, only having 0.5 million viewers.[2]
Trivia
- A fifth program was filmed in a place, but it was not aired at Suelem's request due to spending a lot of money on production and she already thought it was unnecessary.[1]
- The program spawned memes on the internet and even Brazilian YouTube Poops, due to the terrible low budget of the program.
