A Failed Lab Experiment is the second part of episode 4 or the 11th episode of Season 3 of Dexter's Laboratory.

Plot

Dexter invented X-ray goggles that can see solid objects, but the situation fails when he sees people naked.

Why It's A Failed Lab Experiment

  1. This is a Dexter torture episode, and it happens a lot.
  2. Dexter seeing people naked is disturbing, even though it only happens once at the end of the episode, which is Dexter himself, and most of it is off-screen.
  3. When he sees the mailman, he is seen shaking his belly, which serves no purpose, but to pad out time.
  4. Dexter's dad should have not told Dexter about where the remote is, when he had it in his pocket this whole time.
  5. Bad Twist Ending: Dexter throws away his X-ray goggles, but when he is seen without his glasses, how did he activate the password when he is blind?
    • Also, it turns out that the X-ray goggles he threw on the floor were actually seeing naked bodies.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The concept of making X-ray googles while including people's clothes is a creative idea, but it should have been those who can see with the googles with skeletons, making it poorly executed.
  2. The opening scene is okay.

Trivia

  • The episode is directed by Chris Savino, who was accused of sexual harassment later in 2017.
