A Stache From the Past is the third episode of Family Guy's twenty-second season. It premiered on October 22nd, 2023 on Fox.
Plot
Peter and Mayor West confront Tom Selleck, the man responsible for Peter's loss of the Griffin house in a reverse mortgage; Brian and Stewie compete with Bruce when they open a booth at the flea market.
Why It Needs To Stay in the Past
- The episode was extremely unfunny and had no substance whatsoever.
- There are disgusting moments, such as when the trash guy dumped the trash in the flea market.
- The cutaways aren't that good.
- Like always, the animation feels very flat and boring at times.
- Bruce felt like an unnecessary addition to the episode.
- Speaking of Bruce, his newborn daughter, Liza Judy Barbara from Fertilized Megg was not shown with him. Thus messing up the continuity.
Redeeming Qualities
- Even if it felt a bit random, Brian and Stewie's story was good and funny.
- The voice acting is great, as usual.
- “Everyone, you’re all within 500 feet of a school!”
- Sam Elliot as Mayor Wild West.
Reception
It currently has a 5.7/10 rating on IMDb, with many users on Reddit declaring it is the worst episode of Family Guy season 22 thus far.
