"And the Award for Sound Design Goes to Rob" is the forty-eighth episode of the second season of Teen Titans Go!, and the 100th episode overall.

Synopsis

Raven just wants some peace for once, and accidentally makes a magical deal that eliminates all sounds. Raven just wants some quiet for once, and accidentally makes a magical deal that eliminates all sounds.

Why It Wins No Award

1. Overlong Title: Though the title has to do with the episode’s plot, the title way too long.
2. Why are the Titans playing with kitchen utensils when they’re teenagers? Babies and toddlers do this.
3. The “song” the Titans sing while playing with the kitchen utensils is annoying and very repetitive.
   • Firstly, it only has the lyrics “Bring on the night, bring it on, bring it on” repeated over and over again.
   • The Titans don’t even sing but just shout the “lyrics”. While some genres of music such as heavy metal and death metal utilizes screaming, the Titans are clearly not singing metal.
4. Raven, who is tired and wants peace and quiet calls the Whisperer.
   • This already creates plot holes: If Raven’s magic limitless, why couldn’t she soundproof her room or teleport to a quiet place or make Titans quiet? Or even though it’s cruel, poof away the kitchen utensils.
   • Also, the Titans shouldn’t be playing with kitchen utensils in the first place, they’re too old to do this.
   • The Titans are also bad friends for not respecting Raven’s wishes, making them unlikable. They should’ve stopped playing so Raven could sleep or go somewhere where they can’t hear like Cyborg’s garage or the backyard.
5. The Whisperer has a generic design, they look more like the Pokémon, Igglybuff. Why would an omnipotent god look like a little Pokémon?
6. The Whisperer’s gender was never conveyed so it’s hard to tell if they’re male or female.
7. After this, Raven tricks The Whisperer into getting the Titans’ voices back.
8. The scene where the Titans make their own sound effects will quickly overstay it’s welcome because the sound effects are used for the remainder of the episode and it gets annoying fast.
9. The running gag where Beast Boy makes punching sound like farts and farts sound like turkeys gobbling is not funny.
10. Bad Ending: The Titans confront The Whisperer by singing “Bring on the Night” and they get so annoyed, they return everything back to normal except Beast Boy’s change.

Redeeming Qualities

1. The Titans making sound effects scene by itself is pretty funny. (Though it quickly wears out it’s welcome)
2. Raven was right to stop the Titans from playing with kitchen appliances, not only are they too old for this behavior, “Bring on the Night” is annoying and repetitive.
3. The joke about Starfire making a monster meow like a kitten is admittedly funny.
