Plot
Robot Arpo is a humanoid robot which originated from a military base. He is taking care of baby Daniel from the Dilovely family.
Why It's Not the Robot For All Kids
- Firstly, the shows premise is run-down to the ground, nanny robots have been around since the 1930s, it's been used in short films such as the famous Disney short film “Modern Inventions”, Marvel has a nanny robot for the Stark family named Arsenal during Tony Stark’s childhood, and The Jetsons have one to name a few.
- While a fighter military robot being reprogrammed to be a nanny robot is an interesting premise for a show, why does it have be a military robot? Can't they just build a nanny robot?
- Also, the reason why the Dilovely family needs a nanny is because the parents are very unintelligent like Peter Griffin from Family Guy and they're so dumb they don't know how to raise children. That's not a good reason why they needed a nanny, a better reason can be because they're workaholics and they can't be home to raise the family.
- Dilovely is a very laughably bad last name.
- Given one of the children in the family is an infant, Daniel there's toilet humor added in the show. In fact, there's an episode that relies on toilet humor, A Stinky Situation, the episode is about Arpo having to change Baby Daniel's diaper and can't find a place to dispose of the soiled diaper. This episode is full of poop jokes and it's not funny.
- Sometimes Arpo's programming is messed with where he thinks Mr. Dilovely is the children and not the children.
- It has very bad and cheap animation.
- The show originally ended in 2012 but it got resurrected by 3Doubles Producciones in 2020 to be a solely YouTube show with an episode format similar to Wolfoo where it’s a collection of 5 5-minute long episodes as a release and the premises are often stupid and it has a cult following on YouTube.
- The worse part for the reboot is this reboot doesn't have any dialogue or voices at all, like previously, as this reboot are just uses the grunt noise. It could be better if the Moonbug Entertainment want to hiring the voice actors, but no.
- The children all look like babies despite the others being elementary school-aged. Also, Baby Daniel is kind of ugly.
Redeeming Qualities
- A military robot being reprogrammed to be a nanny robot is still a good concept, but the show executed it badly.
- During it’s original run, it had some good episodes such as Arpo trying to milk a cow to feed Baby Daniel when he runs out of milk.
- Although the animation is bad, Baby Daniel is somewhat cute.
- Not to mention, the character design are decent enough.
Reception
The show received a 6.1/10 score on IMDB. While the show had mixed reception, it gets negative reception over a year.
