Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction, based on the Ben 10 Ultimate Alien cartoon, is an action game released for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PSP, and DS in October 2010 in North America and February 2011 in Europe.

Why It Rocks

  1. Graphics that look even better than its predecessor, especially the realistic PS3 and 360 port, as well as the cartoon-accurate Wii port.
  2. Original plot written by the writers of the cartoon, hence it feels like playing a story arc of the show.
  3. Alien transformation has been significantly improved, as the player can now freely transform between alien forms without having to change back to Ben.
  4. Combat has also been improved over the other games, as the player can continue attacking as much as they wish, and super moves are easier to perform here, keeping the flow steady until all the enemies are defeated.
  5. Atmospheric music that immerses the player in the settings of the game.
  6. All voice actors from the cartoon reprise their roles once more. No exceptions this time.
  7. The dialogue is well-written, especially all the cheesy humor.
  8. As a tradition with games in this franchise, the player can collect experience points and redeem them to level up their alien forms.
  9. There are many ways to navigate the world, especially in comparison to its predecessor. More than one alien can carry out specific tasks required to progress.
  10. Again, the difficulty depends on the player's choices.
  11. The DS port is entirely new, reusing no assets from the previous games. This is to be expected as it was made by a different developer. The DS version is also extremely fun.
  12. Lots of bonus content. Four Arms is a PS3-exclusive character, Rath on Xbox 360, both those versions have a "Making of" documentary and concept art, the Wii and DS versions come packaged with a poster, and the latter has Albedo as an exclusive character.
  13. Certain aliens evolve into their ultimate forms during certain events, with Way Big serving the same purpose at the very end of the game.

Bad Qualities

  1. As with all games, it can be too easy for some players, especially if the player cheats. In fact, some bosses can be easily taken out with one continuous super move.
  2. Short, only eight levels on console and seven on DS.
  3. Console version reuses same engine as its predecessor.
  4. Some game-breaking glitches that force the player to reset the game.
  5. Entering cheat codes on the PS3 port disables access to Trophies unless the player deletes their save file.
  6. Players are locked in their Ultimate/Way Big forms during said events.
  7. In the DS version, Ultimate forms are only a special attack they can use once every time the meter fills completely. However, it is very powerful and spans the entire screen.
  8. Past aliens from the previous games such as Goop, Cannonbolt, Brainstorm, Chromastone and Jetray are absent from the game
    • Rath and Four Arms are console exclusive with Rath being exclusive for Xbox 360 and Four Arms being exclusive to PlayStation 3.
