Berserk (1997) is an anime series by OLM and an adaptation of the Berserk manga by the late Kentarou Miura.

It was released in 1997 and ran until March of 1998 with a total run of 1 season with 25 episodes. It covered the Golden Age arc of the manga.

Why it has Guts.

1. Amazing characterization and in depth character arcs; especially for Guts, Casca, and Griffith.
2. The animation is very good for 1997 standards, and still look great today because not only it is extremely detailled with some beautiful visuals, it is very fluid and surpass many animes from back then.
