"Bosom Buddies" (French: "Frères de Lait") is the thirty-fourth episode from season two of Zig & Sharko and the one hundred and twelfth episode overall. It was written by Hugo Gittard and storyboarded by Pierre Violot.
Plot
Why are the hyena and the hermit crab such good friends? It turns out that in the past a would-be "mama" raised them side by side...
Why It Rocks
- The idea about how Zig and Bernie was raised back then before the timeline that pass in the actual show was a great idea, and this episode prove it, until that it was ruined by the season 4 revealing of their origins along with Sharko in it.
- The flashbacks scenes are really heartwarming and entairtaining to watch, especially that Zig did tried to eat everything he seen and Bernie told him not to eat it, such as a tiger and elephants.
- Zig and Bernie as childrens are very cute.
- Zig and Bernie relationship is really well developped, as they first didn't liked themself together, until that Bernie saved Zig from the tiger, and after that, they begin to be true friends.
- Both Zig and Bernie are very likable, even if Zig did eat a lot of animals in the episode.
- A lot of moments are entairtaining and funny, such as the scenes where Zig try to eat a panda, and when his mother see it, he pretend that they try to cure him, which is very funny even if it's a bit predictable.
- There's a cameo of Oggy in one moment of the episode, which is a nice touch, and is also one of the best thing from the episode.
- Heartwarming Ending: When Zig did remember his times with Bernie and his mom, he did deliver a picture of him along with Bernie to their mother, which made her very happy.
Bad Qualities
- Plot Hole: When Zig did eat an elephant and a tiger, they get angry, which is justified, but how they know where his mother live too ? That was unexplained.
- Another plot hole would include that while Zig did eat everything he seen, he didn't know that it was bad so why his mother doesn't explain it before that she punish him ? That would had possibly avoided some of those events.
- Sharko and Marina doesn't appear in most of the episode length, though it might be justified since the episode is mostly a flashback.
Trivia
- Marina and Sharko are only seen at the beginning and end of the episode due to most of the episode being a flashback.
- Oggy can appear on this episode on name “The mystery guest”
- It is one of the few episodes where Zig doesn't try to eat Marina.
