Bubbles of the Opera (The Powerpuff Girls, 2016) is the twentieth episode in the first season of The Powerpuff Girls (2016).

Plot

After a series of mishaps that end up ruining her appearance (a botched picture day photo and botched haircut both courtesy of a dim-witted lunch lady, an allergic reaction to recalled makeup, and a collision with a ceiling fan), Bubbles turns against her sisters and joins forces with Mojo Jojo, thus calling herself "Dark Bubbles".

Why Bubbles Is Going to Be Ugly Forever

1. Once again, this is yet another rehash of an episode from the original series, "Bubblevicious". The difference is that lots of bad things happen to Bubbles, rather than the others treating her like a baby.
2. The female photographer who took Bubbles' photo is a city-chick stereotype and is unlikable for taking a bad picture and doing a horrible job at cutting her hair. Both of which cause her to get fired!
3. Buttercup was also unlikeable at the start for making fun of Bubbles for having a bad photo and was about to say it to the class.
4. Although Bubbles was tolerable for most of the episode, she became unlikable later on in the episode until the end during a disagreement with Blossom and Buttercup and decided to join Mojo Jojo on the dark side and even let the animals escape from the zoo and break buildings, along with tying her sisters.
5. The giant rash Bubbles gets on the right of her face looks disturbing, along with a few of her teeth falling off.
6. Animation error: In one scene where Blossom and Buttercup stop Bubbles from wreaking havoc, Blossom's fly trail becomes blue instead of pink. Making it look like she has Bubbles' fly trail.

Redeeming Qualities

1. Blossom and the Professor are still tolerable characters. Bubbles was also tolerable but only at the start and the end as mentioned above.
   • Buttercup also became tolerable at the end too.
2. The ending was okay, with Bubbles apologizing to Blossom and Buttercup and then the photographer comes in and takes a picture of the three girls together. Then, Bubbles hangs up the picture and tells her sisters how happy she looks.
3. Some of the jokes can be funny.
