Conehead is the 3rd episode of the first season of George of the Jungle (2007).

Plot

George must wear a protective cone to keep from scratching an infected itch.

Why It Itches

  1. George is at his absolute worst on this episode where he refuses to take medicine after getting a rash and acts very immature about not wanting to take it.
  2. Most of the jungle animals are also unlikable since they also refuse to listen to their friends and refuse to take the medicine and would rather scratch instead.
  3. To make things even more idiotic, George and all the animals sing to their friends why it’s good to scratch and why it’s bad to take the medicine. In real life when you get a rash, if you scratch it, it's going to make it worse.
  4. George's rash is very disturbing.
  5. In one scene where George goes to the land of animals that like to scratch and refuse to take the medicine, he suggests that the animals should blame their friends instead of the medicine, which is bad advice.
  6. There is a scene of the warthog suggesting that they should eat their friends, which comes off as cannibalism in a kids' show.
  7. Some animation errors like in one scene, there was an owl and snake appearing next to George, but in the next scene, they are seen with the group of animals.
  8. During the song, a zebra talks in an offensive African-American accent.
  9. Very terrible moral: Being supportive and helpful to others is being a bad friend.
  10. This line from George: "We have to educate our friends, for without education, friends are just stupid people we know".
  11. Bad ending: After George and the animals take the medicine, instead of being happy that the rash is gone, George gets mad at his friends and calls them sneaky and conniving.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Ape, Magnolia, Ursula, Dr Towel Scott, and The Witch Doctor are likable.
  2. Some funny moments like the monkey thumb joke and George (and later Ape) drawing faces on their cones.
