George Carlin (May 12, 1937 - June 22, 2008) was an American comedian and narrator who was known for his performances in Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show, and for narrating the first four seasons of the American dub of Thomas & Friends.
Death
Carlin died of heart failure at a hospital in Santa Monica, California, at the age of 71. He was cremated and his ashes were scattered without any religious ceremonies, as he wished. Following his death, Britt Allcroft and Rick Siggelkow (the co-producer of Shining Time Station) wrote tributes to him during his funeral.
Even though George Carlin may be gone, his comedy will still live on making everyone laugh.
