Heathcliff Andrew Ledger (April 4, 1979 - January 22, 2008) was an Australian actor and music video director. Ledger was the son of Kim and Sally Ledger. He was known for his potrayal of The Joker in The Dark Knight and Ennis Del Mar in Brokeback Mountain.
Death
On January 22, 2008, Ledger's housekeeper and masseuse had found him unconscious in his bed. There, paramedics had attempted to revive but were unable to and he was pronounced dead. It was revealed on February 8 2008, that Ledger had died due to acute intoxication due to the combination of the prescription drugs diazepam, oxycodone, hydrocodone, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine found in his body.
