On April 21, 2019, Yasmin Gabrielle took her own life at age 17, after suffering from depression since she lost her mother to cancer in 2012. She was known for her musical performances on Programa Raul Gil as Raul's child assistant and called the host Grandpa Raul, her last appearance on the program was in 2017, in a special participation, where she returned to sing and remembered her musical performances. According to her friend, Endy Mendonça Silva, the reason for her suicide was because of the medicines she was taking.
