"Dorami's Worst Day Ever" is an episode from the Anime 2005. It is an original episode.
Plot
As Doraemon is in a great hurry, he asks for Dorami to take care of Nobita for the time being. However, when he arrived in the future, an accident resulted in them having to wash both their 4D Pockets. Dorami's pocket apparently loses her red stripes, but when she searches for a suitable gadget for Nobita to use, she ends up taking out either the wrong or irrelevant gadgets, thereby also affecting his day both at school and at the baseball match. Dorami and Nobita later go to Shizuka's house to take a look at her pet bird, Peeko, but when Nobita opens the cage to touch it for a while, it escapes! Can Dorami, who is unable to rely on her gadgets, find Peeko and return it to Shizuka by her own will?
Why It's Not The Worst Day Ever
- While it may appear as a torture episode for Dorami, it actually a torture episode done right, where everything fail but it is like that for being hilarous, and her gadgets fails are nothing more than hilarous.
- Very likable main characters, such as Dorami and Nobita.
- The concept of this episode is actually very interesting since it focus on Dorami having the pocket of Doraemon due to the latter having mixed their pockets, at such Dorami use Doraemon pocket without noticing, and the concept is very well done here.
- A ton of hilarous moments as always, such as the aforementioned scenes of Dorami failing with the gadgets, Doraemon who is clumsy at the beginning, and overall it is a very entairtaining episode to watch.
- The half where Dorami try to get Peeko back is also good and could have been a potential for more actions if the episode didn't lasted 11 minutes and would instead last 22 minutes.
- But still, despite being too short, it actually doesn't really had plot holes and the fact that Doremi can't relies on her gadgets make this even more interesting than it already is.
- A funny ending where it was revealed that it's because of Doraemon that Dorami didn't founded her gadgets, but howewer because of this, Dorami don't want to talk to Doraemon anymore.
Bad Qualities
- It still count as a torture episode for Dorami because she always had the wrong gadget and thus it ruin Nobita too, such as a moment where he's late.
- Plot Hole: How did Dorami didn't notice that she didn't had her own pocket but rather Doraemon pocket ? Especially that it was obvious.
Trivia
- While using the Windstorm Bat, the sound of the baseball being struck is heard, even though the ball ends up in the catcher's glove.
