"Doremi Becomes a Mom!?" is episode 1 of Ojamajo Doremi Sharp, and episode 52 of the Ojamajo Doremi series overall.
Plot
The girls decide to give Majorika a final farewell, but seeing the shop entirely empty they find something she left behind and decide to return it. But in the process the girls are pulled into a predicament after witnessing the birth of a baby from the blue rose garden.
Why It Take Good Care of a Baby
- This episode is an excellent way to start Sharp as not only it does introduce the plot of the season very well (that they must take care of a baby, Hana-chan for one year), and because of this, it is even better than the very first episode of the show.
- In addition of being even better than the first episode of season 1, it is better because it had little to no mean-spirited moments and Doremi isn't tortured (even though that episode was also good but not as much as this one).
- All the characters are very likable, especially the main characters, as they just want to find Majorika to say a final farewell, only to get in the witch would again, and they founded everyone.
- The episode perfectly balance both comedy and heartwarming moments, since yes there are actually heartwarming moments despite being the beginning of the second season.
- Before we mention the heartwarming moments, we should menton the funny moments first, this episode had once again a few funny moments even if they are not as funny as in many other episodes, the most notable one is when Doremi found a secret place.
- This episode introduce the Magic Seeds, which would because a main part of this season.
- The heartwarming moment where Doremi and her friends find Majorika and Lala, along with their fairy, even though it was somewhat ruined by the fact that Majorika did yell at Doremi for returning.
- Great soundtrack that does fit the episode, especially the scene where the plant reveal that Hana is in the flower.
- Aside from the main characters, each other characters are likable, even Majorika, which also still manage to make us laugh at time.
Bad Qualities
- The ending, while it may appear as funny for some, it could be seen as both innapropriate and gross because Hana did peed on Doremi herself, and her Magic Seeds is all wet, which is a kind of humor somewhat out of place for Ojamajo Doremi (even if Sharp would had a few gross out humors at times).
- Majorika is still slightly unlikable for yelling to Doremi, just because she did return, when Doremi only wanted to find her to get good times again.
Trivia
- This is the first episode in which we see Onpu transform into a witch apprentice, as well as discover she actually does have a fairy.
