DuckTales is an American animated television series produced by Disney Television Animation. It ran from 1987 to 1990.
Why It Makes You Feel Like A Quack-riffic Duck
- Great and memorable characters, such as Scrooge, the Beagle Boys, and much, much more.
- Catchy and iconic theme song.
- It helped prove that high quality TV animation was worth investing in, and helped put Disney on the TV animation map after years of only being a hit in terms of movies. Gummi Bears also helped by doing the same thing.
- Excellent and exciting storylines for the episodes.
- Very pioneristic and "brave" concept of a tv series focused on characters created by Carl Barks rather than having Donald Duck as the main character, who only appears in a few episodes.
- Other extra, non-duck characters appear in the show, like The Phantom Blot and Peg-Leg Pete.
- Spot on voice acting for the characters, with the highlight of the cast arguably being Alan Young, who was capable of giving an iconic voice to Uncle Scrooge.
Bad Qualities
- Most of the cast is very flat, especially Webby and Gandra Dee.
- A lot of the episode plots after the first season are very simplistic and haven't really aged well.
- The animation after the first season began to slowly drop in quality compared to the first season.
