Toons.TV Description

While Matilda's out at the beach, the birds are left to fend for themselves for dinner, but their culinary muscles are... not as developed as they could be.

Why It Should Starve

  1. Matilda is completely out-of-character and unlikable in this episode. Actually, she is at her absolute worst here as she doesn’t care that Red, Chuck, and Bomb are hungry.
  2. Not only it is a torture episode to Red, Chuck and Bomb, but the pigs are also abused for no reason aside from the birds wanting to have the cupcakes.
  3. This is considered to be the most mean-spirited episode as the writers just hate the trio and only like Matilda. That shows how badly written the story was and how much torture the trio got.
  4. Especially, Matilda suffered major character derailment: She is a complete dumbass, proven by her reckless attitude towards the birds. She didn't even want to cook food for the birds, which also proves she is a lazy bum.
    • That being said, it makes one question why don't they try to cook for themselves (especially Red, who is seen cooking and serving food in Hiccups).
  5. The title is somehow misleading because the 4 birds never eaten out. It's just the birds trying to find food for themselves before they bothered themselves to go to the castle.
  6. Because of its badly written story, this proves that Rovio doesn't even care and how air-headed they are in this episode.
  7. Bad Ending: Matilda acts like a negligent idiot and decides to eat the cupcake, thinking it's hers, despite the fact was for Red, Chuck, and Bomb so they can eat it, laughs at them for starving, and then gets away scot free, which is a sign of being a Karma Houdini.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. At least Red, Chuck and Bomb were likable (except for Matilda considering the fact she thought it was a wise choice to eat the cupcake).
  2. To be fair, if Cordon Bleugh! from season 1 taught us anything, is that Matilda's refusal to cook was probably for the better.
  3. Matilda does get her karma in Photochucked (even though that episode is no better).
  4. The cakes at King Pig's castle look very appetizing and tasty.
