Behold, the organization that gave feminism a bad name.

Feminist Frequency is a nonprofit organization and web series hosted by Anita Sarkeesian and created by Jonathan McIntosh until Anita took it to discuss women in pop culture. It's more infamous for its sub-series Tropes vs. Women in Video Games.
Why It Has No Frequency
- Anita raised over $160,000 in Kickstarter money, despite asking for just $6,000. Despite the cash, her video quality did not improve.
- Gaming footage is stolen from other YouTubers without proper crediting rather than Anita using footage of playing the games herself.
- Cherry picks the tiniest of details and also lies about the games Anita "critiques." The most infamous example was in her Women as Background Decorations video where she "played" Hitman: Absolution and had Agent 47 kill two strippers in an attempt to show her viewers that gamers are supposed to get perverse pleasure from killing them. In actuality, however, gamers are supposed to sneak past the strippers and kill the strip club owner. She also makes no mention that the player is penalized for killing non-targets, let alone being detected or having to be knocked out.
- Even though she calls herself a gamer, a video from 2010 showed Anita outright stating she wasn't a fan of video games.
- Despite her claims of being harassed, it's been shown many of her death threats are faked.
- In some of her gaming videos, it's shown that she has not played the game. In her now-deleted Bayonetta video, she said that Bayonetta was fighting a demon horde and a single mom.
- For all her talk of taking a stand against sexism, many of Anita's statements come off as sexist themselves as she would often say things that could easily offend men, portraying them as thugs and bullies.
- She cannot handle criticism and usually plays the victim card. To clarify, Anita disabled the comment sections on one of the videos for no reason. Of course, the harassment and threats she received were a reason that she claimed to have.
- In one video, Anita claims that LEGO is sexist because their LEGO Friends toy line uses pink and purple as their main advertising colors.
- It played a large role in demonizing gamers and GamerGate as violent and misogynistic.
- Despite all the evidence against her, her videos are used in schools and not just college, but high schools and middle schools as well!
- Many game companies, including Ubisoft and Naughty Dog, take Anita's claims seriously. Neil Druckmann reportedly took Anita's comments and complaints into account when designing Abby from The Last of Us: Part II to pander to her demographic.
- Anita is often asked to speak at large conventions, often requiring $250,000 to partake.
- She even has the mainstream on her side.
Reception
Although her series is successful and she has won numerous awards, many gamers and even non-gamers have criticized Anita's series for inaccurate information. As of 2017, she has finally finished her TVSWiVG series and is making a new series called The FREQ Show!. Tropes vs Women in Video Games and The FREQ Show! have 1.7/10 and 2.5/10 on IMDb respectively.
