Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location is a point-and-click survival horror game created by Scott Cawthon. the game is the 5th one on the Five Night at Freddy's series, and take places at Circus Baby's Pizza World, whose main mascot is Circus Baby.

Why It Rocks

  1. Unlike the previous FNaF games, this one doesn't have you sitting in one room, waiting for the enemies to come to you. Instead, you have to go around to different parts of the place and perform different tasks each night. This makes the game significantly less repetitive compared to previous FNaF games where the only difference between each night was just the AI becoming more aggressive.
  2. Great graphics which are a massive step up from the previous games, and they actually have the animatronics move, without the outdated engine.
  3. Every character has their own voice (excluding Funtime Foxy because they didn't get a voice actor/actress before Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator came out).
  4. The atmosphere is pretty creepy.
  5. For the first time the lore is less convoluted and intentionally vague, giving a few answers and names for the first time.
  6. The soundtrack is effective for the setting.
  7. If the player disobeys Circus Baby and goes to the room on the opposite side of the Scooping Room on night 5, they can find The Private Room. It combines the best gameplay elements from all the previous games to make for a harrowing experience. Players must juggle a limited power supply, three potential attack paths, a hyper-aggressive animatronic, and a sound-based detection system.
  8. The game has a very diverse amount of jumpscares and even has most of the animatronics have their own jumpscare screams.
  9. The console port is amazing, with great controls, taking into consideration that this was ported straight from PC, which one would think that the controls would be tacky, but they are great.
  10. You can get two different endings in the game.
    • One of these endings (the real ending) have you killed by Ennard in the scooping room, Ennard breaks into the body you died in and runs away from Circus Baby, and suddenly Ennard comes out of the body and goes straight into the sewer hole on the side of the sidewalk.
    • The other ending (the fake ending) involves you going through a "Boss Fight" with Ennard in the private room which has you fight against him in a similar manner to the first game in the series, and after that, you escape from Circus Baby and walks happily, then, Ennard breaks into his house and walks slowly and psychopathically in front of the TV with no signal.

Bad Qualities

  1. The "Wiggle" puzzle on Night 4 very quickly became infamous for its high level of difficulty. The player is stuck in a springlock suit for three minutes, with eight springlocks quickly coming loose that they constantly need to tighten back up. There are also loads of Minireenas climbing the sides of the suit, and if they reach the top of the mask, you will die instantly. The only way to get them off is to wiggle. Which causes the springlocks to come loose even faster. There are also Minireenas that climb the front of the suit and get inside with no way to stop them… except that they're harmless, so trying to wiggle them off will only result in the springlocks coming more loose. And the game doesn't inform you of any of this. A patch released shortly after the game's launch made the puzzle easier after complaints about how unfairly hard it was.
    • The dismantling puzzle on Night 3 also gets flack for being obtuse about its mechanics and requiring split-second precision.
  2. Despite being the main animatronic, Circus Baby barely appears in the game and only makes one physical appearance.

Reception

Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location received mixed to positive reviews from critics. Fans praised the game for being less repetitive and for making some changes to the FNAF formula which was getting stale after having four games released so quickly before. Fans also appreciated that Scott Cawthon took longer to develop Sister Location.
