"Fog'd In" is the tenth episode of Season 2 of Bunk'd, which aired on November 11, 2016.

Plot

When a mysterious, toxic fog engulfs Camp Kikiwaka, leading the campers to exhibit bizarrely altered personalities, it falls upon the camp counselors to rescue the day.

Why It Rocks

  1. The concept is intriguing and strongly evokes the essence of a horror film.
  2. This episode features some of the best acting in the series, as it realistically conveys the characters' fear and peril.
  3. The cinematography is as impressive as ever, with the foggy atmosphere effectively conveying the episode's frightening tone.
  4. The episode is filled with suspense and unexpected turns. Midway, it is unveiled that the alleged toxic fog was merely a prank orchestrated for Xander and Lou. However, following this revelation, a perilous parasitic ground fog begins to infiltrate the camp.
  5. The perilous parasitic ground fog is alarming and represents a significant hazard. Once it infects individuals, it results in severe welts, intensely aggressive behavior, and ultimately death. This is soem of the darkest territory that the series has ever ventured into.
  6. The scene where the ground fog infects the characters sequentially, followed by a chase from other infected campers, is both intense and terrifying.
  7. Good ending: The episode's twist ending, revealing that the events are simply a spooky story told by Jorge around a campfire, is quite inventive.

Bad Qualities

  1. The episode may be quite frightening and intense for younger viewers, which is why there is a content warning at the beginning of the episode.
  2. Wasted potential: The absence of other prominent characters like Gladys, Hazel, and Griff in this episode is unfortunate, as they could have added more depth to the plot. The irony would have been striking if Gladys and Hazel had dismissed the fog as harmless, only to quickly discover its peril.
  3. Plot hole: The origin and cause of the parasitic ground fog are never clarified.
