Fugget About It is a Canadian adult animated television series that aired on Teletoon and Adult Swim. It originally aired from 2012 to 2016, but after the show became an ironic meme in 2024, the creators decided to revive the show.

Plot

The show follows the story of Jimmy McDougal (formerly Jimmy Falcone), a former capo in a Brooklyn mafia, and his family after being relocated to Regina after being forced into witness protection after throwing the mafia Don, Don Gambini out of a building. He is sent to Regina, Saskatchewan after ratting out his fellow mafiosos.

Good Qualities

1. There are multiple good lessons, such as in the episode The Broadfather which is considered good transgender representation by many.
2. Catchy theme song that explains everything. It would later ironically become a meme in 2024 when a Twitter user quoted a post with the theme song in response to Nintendo mentioning "FUGGETABOUTIT" to promote the game Bayonetta 2.
3. Somewhat smooth animation, although for the most part, it is quite rugged and unfinished.
4. The color scheme is quite decent, and the designs for some of the characters are passable.
5. Even though there is no watch order, there are many references to previous episodes and even the shows pilot episode throughout the series.
6. The official Fugget About It YouTube channel provides free episodes.

"Fugget" About It Qualities

1. The general color scheme of the show, while decent for the most part, can look rather nasty and sickening at times.
2. It has a lot of mean-spirited and unlikable characters.
   • Jimmy Falcone is the father of 3 children, and a former capo in a mafia. While he's likeable, he is also selfish and usually lacks empathy toward others.
   • Cheech Falcone is a man-child and an alcoholic who is also selfish, but also extremely dumb and lacks situational awareness.
   • Petey is portrayed as a stereotypical ultraliberal teenager. Petey is the only family member who successfully assimilated to Canada and Canadian culture.
   • Theresa is an oversexualized 17-year-old and heavily spoiled.
3. There are multiple and overused toilet and sexual humor, such as in the intro.

Fugget About It received a 6.8/10 rating on IMDb.

• Fugget About It later gained an ironic fandom and meme attention in September 2024, where users on Twitter posted the show's theme song.
