Fugget About It is a Canadian adult animated television series that aired on Teletoon and Adult Swim. It aired from 2012 to 2016.

Plot

A convicted killer and former member of the New York City mafia named Jimmy immigrates to Regina, Saskatchewan with his Italian family to escape the cops following the murder of his boss.

Why We Wanna "Fugget" About It

  1. To write down the first problem, the idea of creating a cartoon based on the mafia, while it does sound good on paper, was executed horribly in this show.
  2. It can be seen as a rip-off of Family Guy, but with a robber as the main protagonist.
  3. The general color scheme of the show, while decent for the most part, can look rather nasty and sickening at times.
  4. It has a lot of mean-spirited and unlikable characters.
    • Jimmy, the main character, is a rude man who smokes frequently, and in addition, he originally provided a running joke where here referred to Regina as "Vagina" can be offensive to people who live there in real life. Thankfully, he gave up the joke after the first season.
    • Gina, Jimmy's youngest daughter, swears constantly and is a rip-off to Stewie Griffin. A way better foul-mouthed baby with a big brain.
    • The Canadian Mountie character is a filler character who has absolutely no reason to exist.
    • Petey, Jimmy's only son, whilst a tolerable character, is the whipping mule (a.k.a. Butt-Monkey) of the series due to him being constantly scrutinized by the cast, even when he is doing the right thing.
  5. Strange character designs that look like they were drawn by a 9-year-old who was forced to learn how to draw against his/her/their own will. Not only that, but they also look like if they were stolen from the MTV 2011 animated series Good Vibes.
  6. Cookie makes too many butt jokes, which is disgusting.
  7. Average and cheesy voice acting.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Catchy theme song that explains everything. Despite it lacking real charm, it is fun to listen to sometimes.
  2. Somewhat smooth animation, although for the most part, it is quite rugged and unfinished.
  3. The color scheme is quite decent, and the designs for some of the characters are passable.
  4. Despite his Butt-Monkey status (as mentioned in WWW"F"AI#3), Petey is a likable character as he's a nice person and doesn't really do any bad stuff.
  5. Despite the horrible execution, the idea of a cartoon based on the mafia did sound good on paper.

Reception

Fugget About It received a 6.8/10 rating on IMDb.
