Gaturro, la serie (Or simplified as Gaturro) is an Argentinian-Mexican CGI animated short-lived TV series that first released as 3 minutes shorts for Cartoon Network Latin-America starting from March 13, 2011 to August 8, 2014. The series was created by Nik (The same writter of the comic books).
Malas Cualidades (Bad Qualities)
- First to start off, the CGI animation in this series looks poorly made and cliche as if it looks worse than other crappy CGI cartoons like Fanboy & Chum-Chum, Butt-Ugly Martians, The Weird-Ohs, Cocomelon, and even Caillou from 2024.
- There are tons of gross-out jokes at every episode, for example:
- In the episode "Deber de Gato", the moment where Gaturrin pooped his diaper is so gross.
- Very lazy character developements in this series:
- Gaturro (the main character) is nothing but an annoying butt-monkey who doesn't look really that handsome.
- Agatha (Gaturro's crush) is a very unfunny crush to Gaturro as if she gets stalked by him 24/7.
- Emilio, despite him being an inocent fish, he can be very cruel towards Gaturro and his friends.
- Ramiro the Mouse is a huge knock-off to Jerry from Tom & Jerry and other iconic cartoon mouses.
- False Advertising: The title of the series has nothing to do with the creator's premise as if it doesn't have anymore ideas to add his comic strip in it.
- An idea about making a short-lived TV series with 1 season with 20 episodes that each episode runs over 3 minutes is way too short.
- The intro song isn't really that catchy nor brilliant as if it only uses rockstar instruments.
- The music album in the series called "Gaturro: La Musica" is completely annoying for people to listen as if their songs gave Cocomelon a very yucky breath.
Buenas Cualidades (Good Qualities)
- Some episodes of the series are very entertaining to watch. For example, the halloween and easter specials.
- Very nice episode plots with often being too short as if they don't fit right.
- The jokes can also be very funny as if some of them gave The Simpsons a good gag moment.
- "Cambiale Los Pañales a Gaturrin" (Or english translated: Change the diapers to Gaturrin).
Trivia
- Daniel (Gaturro's owner) made a short appereance in one episode due to him having a poor grammar in the series.
- The series was very iconic around other Latin-American countries such as Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Uruguay, Cuba, Panamá, Ecuador, and more.
Reception
- Despite the series having a 83% on Google, it can also be often with some bad critics.
