Plot

The Amoeba Boys stand all night until it rains, causing the citizens of Townsville to get sick. The Powerpuff Girls find the cure to stop everyone from getting sick.

Geshundheit Qualities

  1. The premise makes no sense as the Powerpuff Girls fight the Amoeba Boys while getting sick because they stand in the park until it rains.
  2. The Amoeba Boys are horribly unlikable and oblivious in this episode as they made an idiotic move by making everyone sick; by just standing there all night doing nothing while raining. To make things worse, this is their debut in the original series, excluding pilots, and they made a rocky start.
    • Before that, they litter a paper on the floor, causing the girls to presumably bewilder because littering is not a harmful crime and they fly away as they ignore them.
    • Slim sneezes on an apple before the worker starts eating it. This causes the office worker to sneeze near the citizens and makes others sick.
    • They are also annoying and impatient to the point that they want to fight them, which is stupid because they are sick.
  3. Plot Holes:
    • Mrs. Bellum is sick because of the disease Amoeba Boys had, but it is unknown how she had that. However, it is possible that she was affected by the people who worked in the town hall. This also applied to the Professor for the same reason as hers.
      • The Professor states that there is an antidote for curing diseases, but what specific antidote is he using for them?
        • Speaking of the antidote, the cure is actually an amoeba, which is a stupid excuse.
  4. The Powerpuff Girls were fed up with the Amoeba Boys while they grabbed the citizens for getting sick. They wanted the girls' attention just to fight, but Buttercup called out for them to get out of Townsville for being annoying.
  5. The girls fail to get the Amoeba Boys back, fall to near-death after the Amoeba Boys leave Townsville in order to find the antidote.
  6. The girls made a weak and pathetic fight after they agreed to fight with the Amoeba Boys, who were sick. This makes no sense considering that they are both sick and they would have disagreed on battling.
  7. Stupid Ending: After the Professor tells the Amoeba Boys to leave the house, Bossman tells Slim that he should have taken that orange while standing outside.
    • There is a missed opportunity that the girls would have called the police to arrest them for making a disease.
  8. This episode became more disturbing after COVID-19.

Healthy Qualities

  1. Everyone, except the Amoeba Boys, is likable in this episode.
  2. Buttercup calling the Amoeba Boys out for being selfishly telling the girls to fight is satisfying.
  3. Despite little-to-no damage from the girls, the Amoeba Boys are defeated themselves so they can get arrested but fat chance.
  4. Disregarding the ending mentioned above, at least the Professor finds an antidote to cure everyone in Townsville.

Trivia

  • This episode's title is Geshundheit, it means "Bless you".
  • The only citizens that aren't sick are the students from Pokey Oaks Kindergarten and Ms. Keane.
