"Who you gonna call?" Not necessarily this game but it's better than the NES version.

Ghostbusters is a game originally released for various platforms in 1984, similar to the NES version it was a port of the same game. Although the NES version is far worse, the SMS version still has a few problems.
Bad Qualities
- For some reason, Gozer is referred to as "Gorza", while the building is referred to as as "The Zuul".
- The staircase level, while not as difficult and broken as the NES version can still be a challenge, as the ghosts keep respawning after they're killed, and if you fail three times, you got back to the beginning of the game.
- The level where you have to get past Stay-Puft is difficult and tedious. If you mess up two times its back to the beginning. Stay-Puft also looks much smaller in this section, although he appears to be his regular size on the map screen.
- Although you can use your proton packs in the staircase section, the direction of fire is limited.
- The final battle against Gozer, while more bearable than the NES version, is still frustrating.
- Like the NES version, the Ghostbusters theme plays throughout the entire game except for the endings.
- Again, Like the NES version, it requires a lot of waiting.
Good Qualities
- Better graphics.
- The staircase level doesn't require you to mash buttons to get to the roof.
- More variety of items and vehicles.
- The cars are much easier to avoid.
- More variety of ghosts.
- The game has 3 additional songs for the endings, unlike the NES version, and they're pretty good.
- The title screen has Ghostbusters lyrics.
