Halloween on Spooner Street is the fourth episode of the ninth season of Family Guy.

Plot

Peter and Joe team up to execute a series of painful and humiliating Halloween pranks on Quagmire. While Brian shows Stewie the ropes of trick-or-treating, Meg sets out to attend her first high school Halloween party with high hopes for the evening. She and Chris, who have both dressed up in an attempt to hide their faces, find themselves in an unpleasant situation.

Why It Should Be Scared to Death

  1. This episode has way too many side plots, the first side plot has Peter and Joe playing pranks on Quagmire, the second side plot has Stewie and Brian going trick-or-treating, and the third side plot has Meg going to a party.
  2. A very racist scene with Chris in blackface when he's dressed as Bill Cosby and Lois tells him to wear his Native American costume.
    • Another racist scene where Quagmire pretends that he's Japanese and pretends to bomb Quahog Harbor just so he can teach Peter and Joe a lesson.
  3. Loads of unlikable characters:
    • Peter and Joe are very unlikable on this episode since they keep pulling cruel pranks on Quagmire. The former also calls Meg and her friends ugly b***hes.
    • Quagmire himself is also unlikable since he boos at Meg and her friends.
    • The bullies are also unlikable since they stole Stewie's candy and spray paint Brian.
  4. This is also a Quagmire torture episode due to Peter and Joe pulling mean-spirited pranks on Quagmire.
  5. A disturbing scene where Quagmire is having sex with Joe disguised as a woman.
  6. There is another scene where Chris and Meg make out in the closet, which is incest.
  7. A domestic abuse scene involving midgets where Peter and Quagmire treat it as entertainment.
  8. Despite being a Halloween episode, this aired a week after Halloween.
  9. Overall, this episode wasn’t a very good Halloween special.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Brian and Stewie's side plot was decent.
  2. Stewie and Brian are likable on this episode, and the latter isn’t flanderized like he usually is.
    • Lois is also tolerable in this episode since she defends Stewie after Justin stole his candy.
  3. A few funny moments, such as Brian mistaking his reflection for another dog and the Pink Panther gag.
  4. The bullies do get comeuppance for stealing Stewie's candy.
