The show's animation was produced by Canada-based animation studio Nelvana, and features the additional voice talents of Dee Bradley Baker, Tom Kenny, Fred Stoller, Nika Futterman, Kath Soucie, Carlos Alazraqui, Grey DeLisle, and Nancy Truman. The theme song is performed by Los Lobos.

Trama (Plot)

In the town of Sheetrock Hills everyone gets help from handyman Manny Garcia and his talking tools, including Turner the screwdriver and Dusty the saw. The series teaches basic Spanish words and phrases and exposes kids to Latin culture. Other lessons focus on working together and problem solving as a team.

Por qué lo rompe y lo arregla (Why It Breaks It And It Fixes It)

  1. Astonishing animation that looks like a combination of 2D and 3D. (thanks to the help of Nelvana!)
  2. Likable and funny characters, like the title character Manny and his tools, Squeeze, Turner, Dusty, Stretch, Rusty, Felipe, Pat, and Flicker, and the bumbling Mr. Lopart.
  3. It manages to avoid coming off as a Bob the Builder or Engie Benjy rip-off despite similar premises.
  4. Promotes teamwork, problem-solving and positive attitude.
  5. It also teaches the viewers how to speak Spanish, much like Dora the Explorer and El Perro y el Gato.
  6. A lot of great episodes throughout the series.
  7. Catchy, Mexican-influenced theme song.
  8. Great voice acting.
  9. Sometimes tackles mature topics such as work-related injuries. Such as the episode, "Squeeze in a Pinch" where Squeeze accidentally pinches Manny's thumb and hurts him.

Malas cualidades (Bad Qualities)

  1. Some of the voices from the tools can get annoying.
  2. Some people may find it a Bob the Builder rip-off due to how similar they are.
  3. Sometimes Felipe and Turner don't seem to get along with each other in a few occasions. The reason is, Felipe sometimes acts like a show-off much to Turner(as well as the other tools)'s annoyance. And Turner intends to act bossy to Felipe much to his annoyance. If any mature viewer overlooks this easily, they'd point out that in a way they're both responsible.
  4. While good, the animation can look very dated and sometimes, the face model can be look ugly.
  5. While the last two seasons translated to HD, the first season was never reproduced to HD, leaving it the only season to be in 4:3.

Recepción (Reception)

The show has received a mixed reception, It scores a 5.5/10 on IMDb.

Trivialidades (Trivia)
