"Henry Gets It Wrong" is the fifth epsiode of Season 12 of Thomas & Friends.
Plot
Henry becomes concerned that the workmen plan to cut down the wishing tree, so he blocks the tracks to stop them, only to discover that they are actually trying to preserve the tree.
Why It Got It Wrong
- While some believe that ""Henry and the Wishing Tree" started Henry's flanderization, it was actually this episode that began Henry's flanderization into an excessively anxious and timid character, as he hastily assumes that the workmen are going to cut down the wishing tree without evidence.
- As is typical for this era, this episode follows the "three strikes" formula.
- Henry's decision to block all the tracks to stop the workmen from reaching the wishing tree is both foolish and irresponsible. Not only did it prevent the workmen from saving the tree, but it also creates unnecessary disruption for the other engines.
- This episode is a poor sequel to "Henry and the Wishing Tree," which is already an underwhelming episode. It fares even worse, however, as it is more nonsensical and portrays Henry as even more out of character.
Qualities That Didn't Get It Wrong
- Excellent narration from Michael Angelis and Michael Brandon respectively.
- Thankfully, Henry realizes his mistake and sets things right at the end of the episode.
