I See You is the 5th episode of the 2nd season of Teen Titans Go!.

Synopsis

Robin brings Starfire on a bogus stakeout in an attempt to steal a kiss from her, while Cyborg and Beast Boy hold their own stakeout to discover Raven’s darkest secret.

Unseeked Qualities

1. Misleading Title: I See You is a nonsensical title because the episode is about stakeouts, not seeking out people. The title came from an obnoxious cutaway gag of Cyborg and Beast Boy stalking Brother Blood and being loud and boisterous, which wasn't mentioned again and is not important to the main plot.
2. This episode actually has two plots: Robin attempts to make out Starfire without her consent and Cyborg and Beast Boy spy on Raven to see why she’s acting so strange. Like the previous Teen Titans Go! episode that have multiple plots, the show once again proves it can’t handle multiple plots at once as there’s little to no transition between the two stories.
3. The main plot is too inappropriate for a cartoon aimed at children and looks like something that would be in an adult cartoon, the main plot is Robin is trying to trick Starfire into dating him but the way he words it indicates that he wants to rape her (especially since he wants to be completely alone with her). How the heck is this plot acceptable enough to get past the censors?
   • It also goes against the #MeToo movement and the preaching of having “consensual sex”.
4. When Robin teaches Cyborg and Beast Boy about stakeouts, we get a cutaway gag of the two stalking Brother Blood, it’s very annoying and they should’ve gotten fined because it’s illegal to stalk people, and given they were screaming at him as well, it also counts as harassment.
5. After Robin tells Cyborg and Beast Boy that they’re bad at stakeouts, we get a rap number that’s annoying, disgusting, and offensive.
   • The rap number is annoying because they just repeat “stakeout” every other line and there are stupid lines desperately finding lines.
   • The “pizza chocolate bars/stakeout/stay up late/stake out/puke up what you ate” line is very disgusting.
   • At the ”This what we do/stakeout/Shaggy and Scooby-Doo” line that came after the above line, we legitimately get Shaggy and Scooby-Doo sitting right next to Cyborg and Beast Boy in the Mystery Machine. They’re very random and out of place because it they feel like they were poorly photoshopped in and that they were just copied and pasted in as a .png, which is very cheap, lazy, and unprofessional. That’s something we expect from an amateur animator making a funny web animation, not a big company making a cartoon for a cable channel.
6. The subplot is very annoying and unenjoyable. Cyborg and Beast Boy decide to spy on Raven because she's acting strange, she's pacing, hiding in her room, and turning into a miniature version of her father. The boys think it's because she has a crush on Beast Boy, but they should've just left her alone. To make matters worse, they do not get punished for disrespecting Raven's privacy.

Seeked Qualities

1. The main plot is better because Robin eventually learns what he's doing is wrong. It also helps that Cyborg and Beast Boy rightfully call Robin out for his "plan" at the beginning of the episode.
2. Starfire as Jeff is hilarious and it returns as a recurring gag in the TV Knight Saga.
3. Good ending: Robin learns what he's doing is wrong and apologizes to Starfire.
