This didn't get many fans excited with the very first episode being of this quality. "Missing Teddy" would fortunately give the show a bright dusk.

Plot
With his trusty camera, Mr Bean ventures out into the great outdoors to start a career as a nature photographer. However, it's not as easy as it looks.
Why It Didn't Photograph This Episode
- Some moments when Mr. Bean attempts to take photos to animals in the forest but failed are frustrating to watch.
- The animation in this episode can be cheap at times.
- There was one moment when a farmer tried to shoot Mr. Bean with a gun but was unsuccessful.
- Some moments when Mr. Bean screams when the animals escape from him but it doesn't sound like a proper scream.
- And not to mention that he dressed as a fox when he tried to take a photo of some foxes. And he also got chased by wild dogs at the escape.
- Mr. Bean killing a fly for not being able to take a photo of it.
- Awful Ending: Mr. Bean was trying to escape from the wild dogs, but he didn't get inside his upper room. The foxes outside of the apartment screamed at Mr. Bean getting chased. This was supposed to be played for laughs.
- Overall, this episode was a bad way to start the show.
Redeeming Qualities
- The beginning of the episode was good.
- Mr. Bean is likeable, despite what he did to the fly.
- The scene with the fly was the only funny moment in the episode, despite the dark humour.
Reception
- Despite the episode having a positive review on IMDb having a 7.2/10, it can also be hated by so much people.
- It was the worst pilot ever made next to the first episode of Panty & Stocking.
Trivia
- This is the first segment, along with Missing Teddy, to air.
- Mr. Bean is shown to have an extra room in his flat. This room contains yellow walls. It is only seen in this segment, Missing Teddy, No Pets and Neighbourly Bean and after the latter episode, that yellow extra room isn't shown again for the rest of the series.
- This is the second time Mr. Bean went into frustration after his photograph was ruined; the first time was in the live-action episode, Goodnight Mr. Bean.
- In the first shot of the episode, a night bus passes by Mr. Bean's home bearing silhouettes of the passengers on board, one of whom is strangling another by the neck.
- In some of the driving scenes in this and later segments, Mr. Bean is shown to be a static 3D model while in his Mini. This model is only seen when animating him in the car at angles that don't require so much attention to detail. It's also the only segment where the face actually moves.
