John Dillermand, also known as, "John Penisman", "John Willieman", or, "John Dongman", is a Danish stop-motion animated "children's" television program about a man and his extremely long penis. It debuted on DR Ramasjang on January 3, 2021.

Why We Shouldn't Watch This "Diller" of a Show

IMPORTANT NOTE: This series is extremely controversial for promoting pedophilia and aiming more at adults than at children. No positive pointers/section are allowed.

  1. To get the elephant out of the room first, its concept is remarkably stupid. It is about the eponymous John Dillermand who uses his penis as a tool.
    • For that reason, the series is extremely inappropriate to be aimed at children when it should be directed at adults instead.
  2. To rub salt into the wound, the show deliberately promotes pedophilia, which is flat-out inexcusable for a show aimed at kids!
  3. Some moments in the show can be very graphic, outside of the mere concept itself.
    • In one episode, viewers can see someone cut the tip of John's penis off with a shear.
    • John lights his penis on fire when he tries to grill sausages.
    • He has also tries to put a sausage on his penis to attract dogs while walking them, though one of the dogs bites his penis.
  4. The stop-motion animation isn't all that groundbreaking or pleasing to the eyes. Instead, it is very choppy and it looks lazily put together.
  5. This series has been heavily criticized. Others have also expressed that it feels inappropriate, given the #MeToo movement. [1]
  6. Despite all these issues, the channel's president strictly refused to listen to criticism (see his response and a poor excuse for clarification below).
  7. Even worse, the series is still ongoing as of 2024, which is further evidence of just how blind the creators are to criticism.
  8. Overall, this series gave the Danish TV media a bad name, and it shows!

Reception

Many people have accused the show of promoting pedophilia, or of making light of the #MeToo movement against sexual violence against women, as said before. However, Morten Skov Hansen, the head of DR Ramasjang, responds to the criticism, saying, "We want to stay out of that #MeToo. The series is made for our target audience, consisting of children aged 4–8, and it must be at their level. The series is not about sexualizing the body." [2]

Despite all of this criticism, children still love this show. Snowmen, drawings, dolls, and songs about John Dillermand were created by some of them as well.
