When you make a book which takes the source material and throw it out the window, has filler that defeats it's own purpose, and overall feels like a cash grab, you know you just made the Minecraft fandom's biggest low.

Jokes for Minecrafters: Booby Traps, Bombs, Boo-Boos and More is a joke book themed around the video game Minecraft, written by Michelle C. Hollow, Jordan P. Hollow and Steven M. Hollow and published by Sky Pony Press on 18 February 2016.

Why It's a Joke of a Book Indeed

  1. Horrendous grasp of the source material: One of the jokes, a haiku, is "Did you hear that sound? Oh no, a ticking time bomb! Last sound was kaboom!", which also doesn't appear in the game.
    • They probably meant a TNT, but due to the 5-7-5 syllable count of haikus, it had to be changed to a time bomb.
  2. The jokes feel like unintentional Dadaist anti-humor. For example, "What do you call a creeper with a bomb in his hands? Doesn't matter, he's been blown to smithereens!".
  3. Filler: One of the chapters is "Places We'd Like to See in Minecraft".
  4. The poetry goes all over the place, including a haiku that doesn't even follow the 5-7-5 count.
  5. Too many jokes use the "He was destroyed!" and "What a noob!" punchlines.
  6. Ugly illustrations that fall onto the uncanny valley.
  7. The book is also boring as you will be doing nothing but reading pointless jokes that are stupid and bland.
  8. They also released a couple of books, which are also shameless rehashes other than having different unfunny jokes.

The Only Redeeming Quality

  1. Because of the poor grasp of source material and over usage of the sentence "He was destroyed!", some "jokes" can actually be so bad, they're good.
