Learn Seven Continents of The World For Kids (Ryan's World) is a video for the Ryan's World YouTube channel.

Why It's Not Continental

  1. The audio quality is abysmal, especially when Ryan's speaking. It sounds like it was recorded with a laptop, despite the decent camera quality.
  2. Combo Panda is an absolute idiot in this video, to the point where it's one of his worst appearances. First, he thinks his own backyard is a continent (he names this "continent" "Combolandia"), which makes no sense since he's already on one.
    • He also appears to not know the difference between a "continent" and a "country", as again, he claims his backyard's a continent, when it could make a bit more sense if he said it's a landlocked country instead. Combo also makes a flag for his "continent", something only a country would have.
  3. The writing is generic and laughably bad, somewhat worse than normal.
  4. The lip-syncing and animation is mediocre-at-best, and it gets worse by the end of the episode.
  5. Despite being "educational", some of the facts shown in the video are just wrong.
    • When Alpha Lexa talks about North America, an image of the continent is shown. However, only the United States is labelled, when North America also consists of Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
    • Alpha Lexa refers to Oceania as "Australia", which is only a country in the continent.
  6. There is an unsatisfying ending. Combo Panda is in Antarctica (since the continent has few humans, he pretends it's his own continent named "New Combolandia"), and an avalanche is approaching him. It then hits and presumably "kills" him, as he's never seen again in the video after that.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Ryan and Alpha Lexa are likable characters. They even tolerate Combo's naive behavior in the video.
  2. Combo Panda surprisingly seems aware that his "continent" is not real, but he still tries to be cocky and annoy Alpha.
  3. The video can teach viewers trivial facts about the seven continents of the world.
  4. While Combo may have "died" in the Arctic avalanche that hits him at the end of the video, he at least got his comeuppance for his delusional and jerkass behavior, even if it's very cruel.
