Legendary Sandwich is the very first episode of Teen Titans Go!.

Plot

After being interrupted by the guys during a Pretty Pretty Pegasus marathon, Raven sends them, along with Starfire, on a dangerous mission to look for ingredients for a mystical sandwich of legend.

Why It's Legendary

  1. This episode is well-written and good, unlike most episodes of the series.
  2. It started out as pretty interesting, with Raven watching a great parody of My Little Pony series (Pretty Pretty Pegasus, which would later on become a running gag).
  3. The plot of a Legendary Sandwich that can grant eternal life is pretty interesting, funny and unique.
  4. Funny moments, such as how Raven tells Robin that his most dangerous mission is at the supermarket, and Robin’s experience at the supermarket.
  5. Great action scenes with the Titans fighting off the Sandwich Guardians.
  6. The Titans are all likable in this episode, and had a decent introduction, unlike what they would later become in the series, with the mostly exception of Raven, who is the only tolerable Titan in the show.
  7. The scene where the Titans argue is funny, and some had an understandable reason for wanting the first bit of the sandwich, Cyborg lost his arm, Beast Boy lost his teeth, Starfire lost her hair, and Robin waited a long time at the supermarket.
  8. Good and funny ending where Silky eats the sandwich but then spits it out, much to the disappointment of Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Starfire. And Robin asks anyone if they wanna watch Raven’s show, much to Raven’s happiness.
  9. The art style and backgrounds of the Flash animation are nice to look at, and the voice acting is decent, as the Titans' original voice actors reprise their roles.
  10. This episode is actually a decent way to start the show if only it could have gotten better from here (besides the handful of good episodes here and there after this one).

Bad Qualities

  1. There are some gross-out moments, like when Robin and Cyborg eat with their mouths open, and, while funny, when Silky spits out the sandwich.
  2. The Flash animation, while not bad by itself, looks mediocre and choppy, and is a step-down from the original series.
    • The character designs also look weird which makes the Titans look more like five year old children rather than teens.
  3. After this and the next two good episodes, Teen Titans GO! fell from quality and became fully bad completely (with the exceptions of the good episodes here and there).
  4. The scene where Cyborg loses his arm, Starfire his hair and Beast Boy his teeth is painful to look at.
