Little Elvis is the 27th episode of the 5th season of Teen Titans Go!.
Synopsis
The Titans team up with Shazam to defeat the evil Mr. Mind.
Why Would Little Elvis Hate This Episode
- Poor Advertising: This episode served as an 11-minute-long commercial for the Shazam film, which premiered in theaters on April 5, 2019. FOUR DAYS AFTER THIS EPISODE AIRED ON TV. However, despite it being a commercial, it feels more like the staff is picking on the movie instead of getting their viewers to watch the film in theaters. The details will be listed below.
- Bad Title: The episode is about promoting Shazam, Little Elvis comes from the names the Titans called Billy Batson to bully him, which played a small role in the episode.
- The episode starts very weirdly, it opens with the Titans whining about how awful life is then Mr. Mind falls out of the sky.
- Speaking of Mr. Mind, his voice is ANNOYING he sounds as if the actor has been inhaling helium. He sounds like the Chipmunks from Alvin and The Chipmunks and Fred Figglehorn from the Fred videos.
- Shazam shows up and the Titans bully all the characters from the movie, here are all the insults they gave throughout the episode:
- Laughed at Mr. Mind because he's nothing more than an inchworm with a helium voice.
- Repeatedly called Billy Batson "Little Elvis" instead of his real name because he looks like the late Elvis Presley. They also laughed at him and his powers.
- Laughed at the wizard who "blessed" Billy with his powers and called him suicidal.
- Laughed at the 7 Deadly Sins and called them stupid.
- Despite bullying him, the Titans go with Batson. When they meet the wizard they ask him why he chose an orphaned human boy to be a superhero. The wizard replied "just because", the Titans mindlessly accepted this. This is facepalming because THIS IS NOT A VALID REASON. All decisions and opinions should have validity behind them, if they're not valid, they're pointless and A WASTE OF TIME. "Just because" is the stupidest answer to a question.
- The scene where the 7 sins possess the Titans is laughable.
- Bad ending: The wizard commits suicide after the Titans move his chair away from the boulder because "the prophecy said so".
Redeeming Qualities
- Besides being bullied, at least the characters weren't botched design.
- Ignoring the voice, Mr. Mind is kind of cute.
- The Titans do try to keep the wizard from committing suicide, which is a good thing.
Trivia
- This is the advertisement episode Teen Titans Go! ever did.
