Plot

A lady from a restaurant sends Jon a live lobster to cook. Jon, Garfield, and Odie eventually befriend it as a family member and name him Therm. When Therm gets sick, they must fly to Maine and let him back into the sea.

Why It Rocks

  1. The fight Garfield and the lobster have was decent.
  2. A lobster making a sand castle in Garfield's sandbox is very impressive.
  3. While the lobster may seemed unfriendly & mean at first, he eventually became friends with Garfield, Jon and Odie when he saw a bath of his favorite things.
  4. The way the lobster becomes friends with Garfield, Odie and Jon was great as they filled a cold bath with some dead fish - and the song sang about the lobster being their friend was nice.
  5. "When they say fresh, they mean fresh" - Garfield.
  6. Good Ending: When Garfield, Odie and Jon think that their pet lobster isn't feeling too great, they send him back to its home and wish him a goodbye, and it ends with them going to a salad bar in honor of Therm and Garfield saying to be careful with the pasta salad.

Reception

It holds a rating of 7.4/10 on IMDB.

Trivia

  • When Jon sent back Therm at the airport, Garfield is seen wearing the clothes of Charlie Brown from the Peanuts franchise, and he says his famous quote "good grief".
