Marsupilami is an American-French-Belgain animated comedy television series produced by Wang Film Productions, and distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television in the USA, and Marsu Productions outside the USA.

It first appeared on television in Raw Toonage, and was then spin off into his own eponymous show on NBC for the 1993–94 season.

Why It Rocks

1. Marsupilami made his animation debut.
2. It was the very first time Marsupilami SPEAKS, thanks to his voice actor, Steve Mackall.
3. Marsupilami's character design was 100% faithful to the comic book line by Belgian artist André Franquin.
4. The animation was superb for the early-1990s standards.
5. Great voice acting.
6. Some new characters, including Maurice the Gorilla, was introduced for this series.
7. The smooth backgrounds was pure jungle-like.
8. While this show was a cult following in America, it became very popular in Europe.

Bad Qualities

1. Most of the characters from the Marsupilami franchise, especially Bring M. Backalive, doesn't appeared for this series. Bring M. Backalive was replaced by Norman.
2. The theme song was extremely clownish.
3. Maurice the Gorilla provides too much gross-out humor.
4. Some people who are fans of the original comics don't like it when Marsupilami speaks.

Trivia

1. Several Marsupilami clips are featured on Pinata Farms.
2. On October 22nd, 2021, Marsupilami was added as a text to speech on Uberduck and FakeYou. There is no doubt that other Raw Toonage characters will be added as text to speech on Uberduck nor FakeYou. However on July 21, 2023, Uberduck removed all licensed characters (including Marsupilami). The reason was Uberduck did not want to get sued by the original voice artists.
