"Miraculous World: Paris - Tales of Shadybug and Claw Noir" (or simply "Miraculous Paris") is a 44-minute special TV movie of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. As based on the writing order specifically, "Miraculous Paris" is the 3rd movie in the Miraculous World series. The film premiered worldwide in France on October 21, 2023.
Prior to its broadcast, a 144-page novel adaptation of the special was released on October 4, 2023 in France by Hachette Jeunesse.
Why The Power of Love Will Free Us All
- Betterfly is a likable character.
- The plot about an alternate universe where the superheros and villains roles are switched up is an interesting one.
- Excellent voice acting as usual.
- The theme of the special is very well executed.
- Nice soundtrack.
- Shadybug and Claw Noir are good comic reliefs.
- Celesticat's design is great, cool and good.
- The animation is fluid, smooth and is a huge step-up to the original series.
- Marinette is no longer a Mary Sue starting with Pretension (despite being a bad episode) to onwards, and she has her original personality back.
- The theme song is pretty cool, as well as the cold opening as we get to see Shadybug and Claw Noir for the first time, it's also a nice parody of the main series theme.
- Shadybug/Re-verse Ladybug's character development, while rushed, is good and is nice to see Shadybug redeem herself.
- There are lots of funny moments.
Bad Qualities
- Sometimes, even this special can have it's hiccups.
- Don't ask about the Shanghai special.
