Plot

In response to letters about mistakes on the show, Garfield tries to convince viewers that his show does not have any mistakes. Himself and Odie watch a cartoon that is full of mistakes.

Why It's Anything But a Mistake

  1. Garfield's famous quote/fourth wall break when stopping the title card to say about how people have been writing letters about this show having mistakes, and himself saying that it's not possible except on a rare occasion in casting.
  2. Although there's a lot of animation & voice acting errors here, they're very funny to look at/listen to & do a great job at making fun of these mistakes.
  3. Some funny voice acting goofs from Jon, such as "Garfield's been a very bad dog lately. I'm gonna teach him a lesson she'll never forget", "This will scare the pants off those three or my name isn't June Arberckle!" & "Don't worry, Kermit, we have pretty boring lives - we never run into people like that".
  4. Due to the nature of this episode, it is a very funny episode with ton of funny moments such as the mistakes that was intended, or even the voice acting, in fact it may be one of the funniest episode of the whole show.
  5. The giant picnic feast Garfield puts on his picnic blanket looks very delicious.
  6. The way Garfield scares & defeats the robber is top-notch and hilarious with intentional goofs.
  7. Funny Ending: When the cartoon full of mistakes ends, Garfield shows the viewers how many mistakes were shown, and he only said 3 - which include his picnic not having mustard, Jon's car not having gas & himself not eating, even though a truckload of them were shown to no end, and it ends with him telling Odie (who is incorrectly shown as a big brown dog) to get a midnight snack by saying that it's 10:00am.

Reception

It holds a rating of 7.9/10 on IMDB.

Trivia

  • There's so much intentional mistakes here, that even the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Taj Mahal and the Effiel Tower have mistakes.
