Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 is a rhythm game developed by iNiS and it was published by Nintendo. It is a sequel to Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!. It was released in Japan on May 17, 2007.

よりパワー、よりリズム、より楽しい理由 (Why It Has More Power, More Rhythm, More Fun)

  1. It continues the sequel of the first game, bow with new elements, such as multiple endings, the ability to save replay data, 4-player wireless play (which was discontinued on May 30, 2014), and a feature to skip intro and ending cutscenes.
  2. It is canon to the first game, now taking place 6 years after its predecessor, with new (likable) characters who seek help with the Ouendan team.
  3. The Ouendan encounter their rivals, who are wearing blue military uniforms (red for the Cheer Maidens) and they do the same actions as their original counterparts.
    • Both the original Ouendans and the new Ouendans are likable characters in the game.
  4. The game stays true to the original game, now with different music to play with.
  5. In the easiest difficulty, players can revive automatically during any missions before the last two and are allowed to refill their spirit gauge up to 60%.
  6. Very good soundtrack, as always.
  7. The graphics are good.
  8. In the final mission, both Ouendans team up with the other characters to save the Earth from getting frozen. This is possibly one of the best moments in the game, or in general, the entire franchise.
  9. It had an Elite Beat Agents mode on June 28 to July 11, 2007, where players could use the DS Downloading Station to unlock DLC based on the international version of Ouendan, Elite Beat Agents.
  10. Overall, it ended the Ouendan franchise in a high note.

悪い性質 (Bad Qualities)

  1. The only bad mission is "Do Your Best, Big Brother! Are Water Leaks Prohibited in Dreams?" because of the story and the gross-out humor.
    • It features Takyua's sister who is nothing but a selfish spoiled brat who only trolls her brother into bed-wetting and gets angry when he does not.
      • Missed Opportunity: Takuya's sister would have gotten her character development just like her brother so that she could show sympathy towards him.
  2. Most of the bad endings and game-overs are very mean-spirited to watch, especially the above mission seen in BQ#1.
  3. As usual in the Ouendan games, some of the characters' designs are ugly, even cutscenes during the mission.

Trivia

  • Despite being the sequel to the original game, Elite Beat Agents came after this game, releasing on 2006.
