Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn is a Nickelodeon American teen sitcom that was released on September 13, 2014.

While the first 2 seasons of the show were good and well-received, being one of the few good Nickcoms during the bad era, the same can’t be said for these reasons, as, unfortunately, it turned into your average bad Nickcom in the bad era, due to seasonal rot.

Why These Seasons Should Not Be Quadrupled

  1. The characters' personalities in these seasons became dumbed down, and went from being loveable characters, into typical unlikable modern Nickcom characters.
    • Nicky became a filler character that wasn't unique in any way, basically being the most boring of the quads.
    • Ricky went from and nice and friendly, intelligent guy into a self-centred jerkish know-it-all. He also became a bigger Butt-Monkey in these seasons.
    • Dicky went from a dimwitted, yet well-mannered boy, into an idiot who only cares about girls, and his hair.
    • Dawn went from a snarky, but kindhearted and funny girl, into becoming egoistical, rude, bossy, vengeful, and judgemental, and she just gets worse and worse every episode.
    • Anne went from a caring but occasionally overbearing mother, to being an idiotic and hypocritical parent who can't take criticism.
  2. The intro for no explained reason has been shortened to a simple sketch one.
  3. The humor and jokes went from being clever and funny, to outright unfunny and stupid.
  4. The writing went from being clever and funny to being lazy, catastrophic, mean-spirited and unoriginal.
  5. Dicky is removed from the series since the ninth episode of season 4, "Quadbusters", due to his actor, Mace Coronel leaving Nickelodeon on October 4, 2017, before they completed the filming of Season 4.
    • In the series, they gave a reason why Dicky was removed, because he became obsessed with Australia, after learning much about it from their new exchange student, Britt, so Anne and Tom agreed to send him to Australia for a student exchange program.
  6. It overall became another bad generic modern Nickcom.
  7. Dr. Colosso, a character from The Thundermans, made a pointless cameo in the episode "The Wonderful Wizard of Quads".
  8. Lots of bad morals.
  9. There are lots of bad episodes such as:

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Sometimes the main four siblings do get punished for their bad actions, thus making them less of troublemakers who can get away with everything.
  2. There are still some funny moments here and there.
  3. The acting got way better then the first two seasons.
  4. It still teaches good morals sometimes, such as the consequences of taking advantage of other people's sympathies.
  5. There are still some good episodes, such as "Quadshank Redemption" and the series finale "Lasties with Firsties", which was touching and was a good send-off to the series.
  6. Mae, Miles and Tom are still likable.

Reception

The last two seasons of Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn received mixed to negative from fans, as it was criticized for the excessive bad morals, its mean-spirited moments, and the bad personalities of the characters.
